Carbon Accreditation

ONDA has listed the Casablanca and Marrakech airports as part of the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) program, which is the only airport-specific international program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This program allows airports around the world to measure their carbon footprints and, above all, to put in place programs to drastically reduce their greenhouse gases, according to 4 different levels (cartography, reduction, optimization and neutrality).

Both airports have been awarded the Carbon ACA Level 1 accreditation, thus enhancing the efforts made in this direction, joining the three other African airports listed in this process.

ONDA considers extending this program to the airports of Fez, Agadir and Rabat in 2017, Oujda and Tangier in 2018 and to move to the "Reduction" level for the two accredited "Mapping" airports. The objective of ONDA is to achieve carbon neutrality in the medium term.
