The pursuit of international opening up policy

Airport capacities development program joins basically the 10 million tourists national target objective. It is intended to accompany the already engaged government policy and to fulfill  international safety and security standards requirements 
Airport network accommodation capacity needs to go from 12 to 18 million passengers a year. Six airports are concerned by this program.

The most important project aims at strengthening Mohammed V airport  structures, and consolidating  its regional air traffic " hub "vocation. It concerns new terminal construction which should hold an additional 4 million passengers, as well as completing second landing runway  equipement, which started in 2003.
 
Tangier, Dakhla, Essaouira, Errachidia, and Al-Hoceima air terminals extensions  are planned.
Marrakesh, Tangier and Al Hoceima airports roads intensification program, particularly runways and aprons widening to accomodate large aircraft.

These extensions will be accompanied by new computer system installation intended to assure  airport resources integrated management and improve efficiency.
